Soundscaping for this piece took place while I was in Roya Valley in France, whereas Joana and Maurícia were in Porto, most drones being initiated by a choreography of waves of the Mediterranean. In this piece, Choreographers and performers Joana Castro and Maurícia Neves question and reconfigure the relationships between them, based on personal archive photographs of a relationship that came to an end. In much the same way, the sound seeks to reconfigure the space and lean into the fears, pain and regret to make space for change after.

Dedukas

I loved working with Kristina. Most of the sounds I used for this composition were recorded in her granddads old house: squeeks, cracks and drones of glass bowls all merge into soundscape conveying a fragile space between the childhood memory, longing and dream. The piece has been presented in a version of 3 hrs in the aforementioned residency, later in Teatro Ibérico in Lisbon in the start of February 2017 as well as in Menų spaustuvė in Vilnius.
