To attune, if possible

I wrote a piece titled Attunement, or to Recognise the Unspectacular for a publication that just got out. In it, I meditate a bog in Estonia, and how interconnectivities of various species work since the time that creatures first stepped on land. I also made a soundpiece for it, to listen to while reading, as sound is so much more immediate, it soaks right through, it callibrates our bodily selves. I attune to things through sound better than via any other means.

Difficult, however, it is, I admit, to attune to the world of fire. I will expand on this at some later time. Here let me share the softness as it is the thing that lacks often.

The sound and text go together and separatelly. They are now part of publication titled State of the Art – Elements for Critical Thinking and Doing, by SOLU / Bioart Society (Finland), edited by Erich Berger, Mari Keski-Korsu, Marietta Radomska and Line Thastum. This publication is an outcome of State of the Art, Nordic-Baltic network (SOTAN) collaborative process. SOTAN is a Nordic-Baltic transdisciplinary network of artists, practitioners, researchers, and organizations who have come together to discuss the role, responsibility, and potential of art and culture in the Anthropocene.

The book is fully accessible online, make the best of it ❤
