In pursuits to make my sounds a bit more available, I’ve uploaded Aviliai on my Bandcamp account.
Aviliai is one of my most cherished collaborations with a fellow musician and a very dear friend Vytenis Eitminavičius, which is creating melancholic soundscapes and nostalgic chants as Skeldos. I remember I was stressing out a lot before we started working on Aviliai, which we first thought to only be a collaborative live gig for Mėnuo Juodaragis festival. But somehow the creative process, once we started, was a really great experience, both human- and sound-wise. So this is really an album I am (still) very happy about, and I hope we will do some collabs in not-that-distant future as well.
Yes, it is all very collaborative in my world these days – I am preparing a live set for some shows that’ll take place in Vilnius in three weeks approx with a couple of persons at the moment. These couple of persons are Adomas behind the drums and Mindaugas with his synths and guitar and a huge knowledge-base about synthesis and the world of sound. I am happy to dismantle what I usually construct as a piece for one-womxn show into layers and structures and share them with these people, as the energy seems much more intense when we’re in it together. Let’s see what happens.
